Launch ceremony of Charter of Peace campaign

Dear Sir/Madam,

Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) invites you for the media coverage of the launch ceremony of its Charter of Peace campaign. The launch would be held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad (Sheeshmahal III) on Thursday the 18th of November 2021 (3:40 pm to 5:30 pm).

Key guests at the event include parliamentarians, Federal Information Minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, Advisor to Prime Minister on Accountability & Interior Barrister Shahzad Akbar, as well as Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology Dr. Qibla Ayaz.

The Charter of Peace initiative is part of PIPS’ focus on building sustainable solutions towards peace, through its project ‘Promoting soft approaches in countering terrorism and extremism in Pakistan’.

The Charter is being formulated through conducting a survey and consultations with key stakeholders from all regions of Pakistan.

The launch ceremony on November 18 marks the beginning of PIPS’ campaign to seek endorsement and support of key stakeholders, including the political parties and civil society actors, for the implementation of the Charter to ensure peace in the country in a holistic sense and counter terrorism and violent extremism.
